Our Goal:
Working in collaboration with clinicians, communities, organizations, families, and individuals, we want to create a world where alcohol use disorder is treated as a health condition and can be cured.
Why CAUDS needs you:
As a charitable organization, we rely on government grants, the generosity of individual and corporate donors and other foundations to support and sustain our activities. CAUDS recently commissioned the development of a Philanthropic Strategy, and we would like to expand our small but mighty team to incorporate this work into our regular activities.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Executive Director, The Director of Philanthropy will facilitate and lead philanthropic activity:
20 hours per week
$60.00 per hour
Location is virtual within British Columbia, with in-person attendance required at specified events and meetings
Requirements:
Post Graduate Degree
Public Speaking Experience
3 - 5 years’ experience relevant to the role
Developing and implementing annual fundraising plans with an emphasis on donor relationships
Proven ability to secure donations of $25,000+
Ability to travel within the region
Ability to work with urban, rural, remote communities & diverse populations
Responsibilities:
Develop strategies to meet fundraising goals and create sustainable revenue streams
Develop and implement strategic plans to secure financial support from a variety of sources including individuals, corporations, foundation, and government grants, planned-giving and bequests
Maintain all donation and donor information, providing reports as needed and public recognition and other benefits for all donors
Actively identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and funding partners
Oversee all fundraising and donor relations activities
Write and manage grant applications, reports, and fundraising appeals
Develop donor presentations and speaking notes for the executive director and members of the board.
Support community engagement and communication initiatives for CAUDS priorities
Serve as a CAUDS ambassador at all times
