Princeton community members hosted a wide variety of events including a community leaders workshop, a high school student wellness event, town council presentations, a community-wide mocktail party, a film screening and panel discussion and are currently helping to support a student-led AUD group at Princeton Secondary. Event highlights below!
Community Leaders Workshop
On Nov. 16th, 2022 community leaders, representing a wide variety of occupations and organizations in Princeton, BC, came together to hear about new treatment options for alcohol use disorder.
They also started a community conversation about existing supports within the community, and ways they could work together to support more people to access care for alcohol use disorder.
Community Mocktail Party
More than 150 neighbours and friends came together in Veterans Square on Aug 11th 2023 to enjoy free mocktails, snacks, live music and to vote for their favourite mocktail! And the winner was… the Princeton Pina! Watch for it on local restaurant menus!
